Customising your templates

The template editor lets you control how Medow writes, formats and structures your reports — tone, length, section order, headings, and verbatim text. This article covers what's possible and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

How templates are structured

Your template is made of blocks, which contain paragraphs. A live preview updates as you edit, so you can see the effect of each change immediately.

There are four types of block:

• Core blocks — the standard sections of your report
• Supplementary blocks — optional sections you can add
• Custom blocks — sections you define yourself
• Verbatim text — text that appears exactly as written, every time (useful for standard introductions)
