Using Smart Edits in Medow Health

Overview

Our Smart Edits feature lets you request changes via AI like you would in ChatGPT.

No need to manually rewrite entire paragraphs inside your Note and Letter — just tell the Smart Edits bar what you would like changed and let it do the heavy lifting.

Best use cases

✔️ Reword a section to sound less robotic

✔️ Remove or add in specified medications or symptoms – e.g., “Add that the patient also takes metoprolol”

✔️ Reformat or summarise content – e.g., “Remove information a GP wouldn’t require”

✔️ Reflect a consultation conducted via telehealth

Watch out

⚠️ Smart Edit only draws on what’s already in the note / letter. Therefore, you should never request Smart Edit to create information. For example, never ask “Add more detail about her knee injury.”

How to use it

1. Click into the Smart Edits prompt box in the editing suite.
2. Type your request — for example:
   • “Add in that the patient is now taking metoprolol.”
   • “Make this paragraph sound more natural.”
   • “Summarise this section for clarity.”
3. The AI will automatically implement your request and update the text accordingly.
