Using the Macros Feature in Medow Health
Overview
The Macro feature in Medow Health helps streamline documentation by allowing you to insert pre-set text into your notes and letters with a simple shortcut. This is particularly useful for frequently used phrases, standard surgical risks, or procedural explanations that you don’t want to verbalise every time.
By setting up macros, you can:
- Reduce editing time,
- Avoid needing to repeat yourself, and ****

✔️ Standard procedural explanations – e.g., post-op care instructions
✔️ Frequently used disclaimers – e.g., medication side effects, follow-up care reminders
How to use it
- Setting Up Macros:
- Go to the Settings section in your Medow Health account.
- Click Add a Macro and give it a name (e.g., "Standard Knee Surgery Risks").
- Enter the specific output text you want inserted whenever this macro is used.
- Save it—your macro is now ready to use!
- You also have the option to set up the macros as you edit your document by clicking on the

- Using Macros in the Editing Suite:
- When editing a note or letter, simply type "/" (forward slash).
- A list of your saved macros will appear—select the one you need.
- The full pre-set text will be inserted instantly.
