If your EMR is not integrated with Medow, you can easily copy your notes and letters from Medow and paste them into your EMR system. If your practice is integrated with an EMR (e.g., Genie, Gentu, Meditech), you won't need these steps—your reports will export automatically once integrated.
How to export to your EMR
Once you've reviewed and finalised your report in Medow:
- Mark the appointment as reviewed - Click 'Mark as Reviewed' to confirm your report is complete
- Copy your report - Click the 'Copy to clipboard' button
- Paste into your EMR - Open your EMR and paste the content into your EMR templates
- Mark as exported - click the three dots on the top right hand side and “Mark as exported”. This helps maintain data hygiene in your practice so you know what reports have already been exported.
Important: Always use the 'Copy to clipboard' button rather than manually selecting and copying text. This ensures your formatting is transferred correctly when you paste into your EMR.
Tips for a smooth workflow
- The 'Copy to clipboard' button preserves all formatting, including headings, bullet points, and paragraph structure
- You can copy and paste each report type separately (consult letter, consult note, referral letters, etc.)
- Your reports are always saved automatically in Medow, so you can access them later if needed
