If your practice is integrated with Gentu, you can export your notes and letters directly from Medow to your patient records.
Before you start: Set up your Gentu template
- Before you can export from Medow, you'll need to set up a template in Gentu first. This is a one-time setup.
- Your Medow integration team will have sent you a guide for this. If you need the guide again, please contact your Customer Success Manager or email [email protected]
- The template setup ensures your letters are formatted correctly when they sync to Gentu.
How to export to Gentu
Once you've reviewed and finalized your report in Medow, you can export by:
- Marking the appointment as reviewed - this will trigger the export popup automatically, or
- Clicking [⋯] → Export to Gentu in the top right corner (if you didn't export when marking as reviewed, or want to re-export)
In the export dialog:
- Select which reports you'd like to export (Consult note, Consult letter, Referral letter, Patient letter, WorkCover)
- For Consult letters: Select the recipient from the dropdown (this pulls all referrals from the patient's Gentu record) and choose your template
- For other letter types: You can choose a template or leave it as "Same as Consult letter"
- Click Export
Tip: Save your selections as defaults to reduce clicks for future exports. You can also set up auto-export in Settings → Defaults → Gentu export if you rarely change templates or recipients.
What happens after you export
- Your letters and notes sync to Gentu every 5-10 minutes
- Letters and notes can be found in Gentu:
- Letters appear in Gentu under Results/Letters → Outgoing Correspondence → Draft or in the patient's Clinical → Correspondence tab
- Notes appear in the patient's Clinical → Consult Notes tab (as read-only PDFs)
